To exercise as appellate jurisdiction with respect to the actions taken by a State/ UT’s ISM Council.
Promote equitable and universal healthcare that encourages community health perspective and makes services of AUS&SR medical professionals accessible to all the citizens.
Encourage medical professionals to adopt latest medical research in their work and to contribute to research.
Enforce high ethical standards in all aspects of AUS&SR medical services.
Have an effective grievance redressal mechanism.
To protect right of practitioners.
To promote the involvement Schemes/programs/initiatives.
Promote equitable and universal healthcare that encourages community health perspective and makes services of ISM (Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Sowa-Rigpa) medical professionals accessible to all the citizens to achieve national health goals.
To provide guidelines to establish a State Medical Council for Indian System of Medicine in those states where no such council exists.
